Grab the new smf-elements-2.txt
<http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Elements/smf-elements-2.txt> file from the
website. I updated it, but never got around to documenting it, because the
smfGetYahooPortfolioView() is a better way to go, since it can get multiple
items for multiple tickers in a single Internet access for all items in a
single array-entered formula.

I've installed the add-in in C:\Program Files (instead of in C:) and it's been working fine for quite some time, although it's an older version. The one thing that isn't working is the command in my worksheet to identify the version number. I've used:
Range("A71") = RCHGetElementNumber("Version"). This used to work just fine.

But now this returns nothing in element A71. I'd now like to install the latest version of the add-in. Is there any reason I can't continue to leave the add-in in the Program Files folder? Is this the reason the version number is not being returned with the above command?

Thanks.

I haven't a clue why your VBA code isn't working.

But you can have the add-in located in multiple locations. It just requires
telling the add-in manager which one to use. I'm not sure what you need to
do on the VBA side -- maybe make sure the reference there is pointing to
which add-in you want to use.
