Hi Randy and others.
I recently broke down and purchased a new computer that is lightning fast compared to the replaced, 6 year old one. I was previously using Win 10 with Excel 2013 and now Win 10 and Excel Home & Student 2019. I used this opportunity to upgrade to the latest Version 2.1.2018.01.24 Add-In. The previous Add-In worked very well for me so I stuck with it till now. With the new Add-In it seems I have one issue to work on.
Previously when I would refresh the retrieved data by inserting a changed item (e.g. 1 to 2) into the column of Tickers in the data retrieval worksheet the data would refresh with a second or two. Now it takes about a minute. During the wait time Excel displays the message "Excel is not responding".
The data sheet is about 70 tickers across 20 data items. I use the smfGetYahooPortfolioView (array entered) and a few RCHGetElementNumber functions. Any thoughts on what to look at to get back to a speedy refresh?

A single array-entered smfGetYahooPortfolioView() function should update
almost instantly, so I would suspect it is the RCHGetElementNumber()
functions that are slowing you down. But they shouldn't be updating if you
are changing field numbers on smfGetYahooPortfolioView(). So my first
suspicion would be that you don't have a single array-entered
smfGetYahooPortfolioView() function. Hard to say.
You could turn on logging and check the log file, to see which requests are
using up so much time:

Unless you have enabled asynchronous processing, you'd get the "EXCEL is
not responding" from the time you do something to cause a recalculation
until everything is done.

Thx for response. The RCHGetElementNumber is not part of the array. It is on a separate worksheet and only pulls a few items when the initial update takes place. I thought it updated but see that it doesn't.The smfGetYahooPortfolioView() is a single array and yes it used to update instantly.
