[ExcelVBA] Counting Colored Cells in Excel 2010

 

I am using the following code to count cells in a given range that are of a color. The code works fine, but when I change colors in the range, the counted numbers do not change even when I refresh all from the ribbon. Does anyone know how to "fix" this?

Function COLORCOUNT(varRange As Range, varColor As Range)
Dim cell As Range
For Each cell In varRange
If cell.Interior.ColorIndex = varColor.Interior.ColorIndex Then
COLORCOUNT = COLORCOUNT + 1
End If
Next
