I Googled a bit and found this solution, which appears to work here:

Public Declare Function CloseClipboard Lib "user32" () As Long
Public Sub ClearClipboard()
OpenClipboard (0&)
EmptyClipboard
CloseClipboard
End Sub
But I'm not talking about the Office Clipboard -- just the currently held
clipping that's ready for pasting.
