I'm noticing a few inconsistencies when using RCHGetElementNumber
=RCHGetElementNumber("GGP","9") - this returns a value of 33.13
http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/institutional-ownership?symbol=ggp http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/institutional-ownership?symbol=ggp - this shows a value of 33.07 (I believe this page is the source for element #9)
I have tried smfforcerecalculation. It almost looks like it is pulling in an "old" value. This example is a small difference but I've seen other values that are more significant. Anyone else seen issues like this?
Thanks!

The more I play around with it, the more it seems like the smfForceRecalculation is not successfully clearing out the saved data pages. This is resulting in an "old-value" being pulled through.
Relative newbie so if anyone has any insight, that would be greatly appreciated.

Data for most MSN items comes from their print page:
http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/stock-report?CR=1&AF=1&IH=1&AIE=1&AIR=1&FRH=1&FRK=1&ISA=1&ISQ=1&BSA=1&BSQ=1&CFA=1&CFQ=1&TYS=1&ITT=1&ITP=1&Type=Equity&Symbol=GGP
..which indeed is different from the web page you cite. So the discrepancy
is from MSN.
Oddly enough, I couldn't get the above web page to show any data in FireFox
or Chrome. Just IE. Hopefully, that's just a temporary issue on MSN's part.
Unless MicroSoft is doing something to prevent other company's browsers
from accessing the web page.

Is Yahoo data similar (where it comes from the print page)?

Yahoo doesn't have a print page. But I wouldn't be surprised to see similar
discrepancies on various data services, between web pages.
You can usually see the mask for the source page for an element number with
either:
=RCHGetElementNumber("P-URL",9)
...or the raw element definition:
=smfGetAParms(9)

Hi Randy - when I logged on from the EXCEL Web Query dialog to Morningstar, elements 889 and 890 started working. It seems that now the cookie is there, I don't need to login with the Web Query anymore, only with IE.
Now I am having another problem with M*, I am getting "Error" with element 884, Credit Rating. Would you please check it?
I have to thank you very much for all your effort and dedication!!

Element #884 worked fine with ticker MMM for me...
That element was last updated on 2014-01-30, though, so if you have an
older version of the add-in or element definitions, it won't work. The data
comes from a different web page than the others as well:
http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/bonds.aspx?symbol=MMM
Can you view that web page in the EXCEL Web Query dialog?

Hmmm. The element was updated AFTER I released the 2014-01-30 ZIP file.
Try the latest smf-elements-1.txt from the "Works in Progress" web page.
