I had to re-image my computer after it was corrupted. I saved my Excel files to an external hard drive. After re-loading the old Excel files that were built around the SMF Add In and re-installing the SMF Add In I am now getting the #NAME? error.

The individual cells now display:

='C:\Program Files\SMF Add-in\RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla'!RCHGetYahooHistory(G4,B6,B7,B8,B9,B10,B11,B12,"da",B14,B15,B16)

Any idea how I can fix this?

Many thanks,

Try running the smfFixLinks macro that is contained in the add-in.

You just need to remove the path location that prefixes the function. I
used to do it manually so often that I wrote the smfFixLinks macro.

I edited one of the worksheets manually and that did the trick. I have a multitude of other worksheets with the same problem so I will try running the macro.

Appreciate and thanks!

Hi Randy

Could you pls help me with the formula from https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=888.L https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=888.L to retrieve the price in large bold print immediately after the name of company?

thanks

These works for me right now:

=smfConvertData(smfGetTagContent("https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=888.L
","span",1,"time_rtq_ticker"))

...or:

=smfConvertData(smfGetTagContent("https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=888.L
","span",-1,"yfs_l84"))

HOWEVER -- Yahoo has changed the structure of that section of the web page
numerous times, breaking formulas I write. And, in some cases, the
structure even changes depending on whether the market is open, or whether
we're before the market opened or after the market closed.

So I've pretty much given up trying to come up with something reliable.

Thanks Randy. Is there a more stable structure in another Yahoo page e.g. the Summary, Charts or Profile page?

They use the same structure on each page I've looked at. I usually do it
off the Summary page.

It's not tough to figure out for any given page. It's just frustrating that
it changes.
