Reuters financial statements

Randy,
I am interested in using Reuters Financial statements and have been looking through the posts here. However, to get 5 years of data instead of just the last year - the website requires a logon. And so i did and i check this using the web query alt +d +d + w - which then shows i am logged on. Still, i get errors in retrieving the table data whether i use rchgethtmltable or rchgettablecell (i am able to get the last year of data but my interest is in getting the extended 5 column/year table.

the URL is http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/incomeStatement/detail?symbol=CELG.O&detail?stmtType=INC&perType=ANN

when i run it though i get a java script error (line 455, object required, http://www.reuters.com/resources_v2/js/rcom-tns-frontend.js). but if i click yes it will work correctly nevertheless.

Question is: is it possible to retrieve the table or has reuters got it shielded off in some we we cant get around? Or is is just my ignorance - wondered if there is a solution if it can be done.

Many thanks,

1b.

Not sure where you are running into a problem -- this works fine for me:

=RCHGetHTMLTable("
http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/incomeStatement/detail?symbol=CELG.O&detail?stmtType=INC&perType=ANN","per
share items",-1,"",1)

The RCHGetTableCell() functions work fine for me as well.

It's working here. You probably just need the new element definitions for
MSN from the "Works in Progress" folder from the files area. They redid
their web site structure earlier this year.

Did it - now it all works - how did you ever do all this? I have been
spending around four hours a week reviewing stocks for my trading activities
- now it will take a half hour - what a great add-in!!

Thank you!

this latest market rally.. i was using it with a
tom demark spreadsheet that i paid for (so sorry cant
share it) but wondering if anyone else has a cool
spreadsheeet that maybe scans alot of stocks for buy and
sell signals that generally work.. i saw the analyst recomendation
in the attachment folder, does that one work?
anyone have a cool one they can share? that scans
alot of stocks and gives buy and sell signals based
on some kind of logic.. moving average, macd, stock rsi, etc..

You shouldn't be using the add-in as a screener/scanner. You should be
using other screeners/scanners to get down to a small number of stocks and
then use the add-in to get more detailed information on those few stocks.

You just need to collect too much data to do your own screener in EXCEL,
and that's not fair to the free data providers.

ok, does anyone have a cool excel spreadsheet that helps with
more detailed information and has helped them with their trading?
