Beginner use of RCHGetElementNumber ()

Hi
I'm
an italian guy
First
of all congratulations for your work on this.
Sorry for my English.

I
downloaded and installed version 2.1.2014.01.30, run Excel 2007 on a
Windows 7 system.

I'm a beginner and i'm only using the function RCHGetElementNumber in my excel.

I've
some question:
-
RCHGetElementNumber(). This function give me error whit all AdvFnA
data. For example RCHGetElementNumber(ticker, 7296) ecc.. Also it
give me error when I use 886-887-888...891 Morningstar data.

I
followed the suggestions to change the internet securuty for AdvFnA
options ...but nothing has changed. Could you help me?
-
where can I find a simple explanation of how I could use GURUFOCUS with
RCHGetElementNumber()?
Thank
you for your time
Fab

After making the IE security change, did you exit and restart EXCEL, or run
the smfForceRecalculation macro? Either of those would have been necessary
to have the add-in get a fresh copy of the web page from the Internet after
you made the change.

The MorningStar elements you refer to are premium items. You need to have a
subscription to MorningStar and be logged in with IE in order to access
those data items.

Check the files area of the Yahoo group for some GuruFocus models, in the
"Uploads by Forum Members" folder.

The smf-addin doesn't work with Advfn in Italy or France .

It's not only the prefix which changes, but they translate also the
accounting terminology, in fact all the data are localized

You can use GuruFocus with american ticker but for Italian stock you
must be a premium member.

GTECH SPA (MIL:GTK) is traded in Italy. GuruFocus Global Premium Membership

This GuruFocuswork sheet works pretty well.

You should be able to write your own RCHGetTableCell() functions to get the
data from AdvFN.

There are no GuruFocus elements. I have no plans to do any. So the uploaded
model is the place to go.

Is there a web site where I can follow the action of a stock (Apple)
during the day?

I am assuming you meant a Free place to watch the stocks.

Try www.freestockcharts.com it is free but the data is 15 minutes delay for real time.
This is a Worden Brothers free offer. They also offer WWW.TC2000.com which is fee based.

I happen to be a reseller of Worden Products. I am also have been a user for 20 years. For the money I believe it is the best on the market.
