Randy,

I was wondering if it would be possible to expand the 10 years worth of data you get from AdvFN in your RCHGetElementNumber function to get 15 years worth of data?

Thanks in advance!

Aaron

It's certainly possible, but sorry, it won't be done. You can always use
the smfGetAdvFNElement() function to get all of the available years. See
the templates web page.

There have been rumors that AdvFN will be going to a new web page format,
so I'm not planning to spend any amount of time on their site. That work
would just be wasted.

I've also kind of decided that defining elements for financial statements
was a waste of time. When they change the layout of the web page, it's next
to impossible to remap the data elements, because line items are deleted
and added, and have their definition changed. There's also the issue that
different types of companies have different line items.

Dear all,

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for this amazing add-in and community. I just came accross this a few days ago and have been able to collect most of the information needed.

However, I came across an issue with Morningstar, which I can't seem to solve. When looking at the cashflow statement, I noticed that the structure differs significantly from company to company or even from quarter versus anual. As a result, I have difficulty in transforming the data, as I'm trying to collect this information from several companies and automatically store them in a predefined structure.

Since the structure is changing, it gets a lot more complicated.
Has anyone come across this and do you have a quick work-around for this?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Peter
