Thanks Randy

And thanks so much for an unbelievably useful tool. Unmatched !!

Any suggestions as to a "replacement" source for that next (and
last if possible) earnings report dates?

Subject: [smf_addin] Re: Referencing earnings report dates from
WSJ no longer works

It looks like they are now dynamically generating the web page,
so the data is no longer within the source code of the delivered
web page. I don't see any way for the add-in to extract the data
at this point. Sorry. ---In smf_addin@yahoogroups.com, wrote :

Until the last couple of days the flowing method of getting the
last and next earnings reporting dates from the Wall Street
Journal worked fine where B2 contained a stock symbol
=smfGetTagContent("http://quotes.wsj.com/"&B2&"/financials","span\
",1,">Next
http://quotes.wsj.com/"&B2&"/financials";,"span",1,">Next Earnings
Report")
Any idea what may have changed? I noticed that "Next Earning's
Report" has become "Next Report" but simply changing that
reference does not solve problem
Thanks in advance

Yahoo and Zacks both have elements defined for the next earnings release
date:

=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM",1285)
=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM",13893)

For the last earnings release date, from Zacks:

=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM",1290)

You may want to look over the two Zacks templates for related items:

Randy,
I just updated my Internet Explorer to version 11 because IBD just advised that it no longer supports Internet Explorer vs. 9. Now my spreadsheets don't work. Any idea what happened?
Thanks so much for this wonderful tool,
Jeff

You're leaving me to guess what "don't work" means.

Since EXCEL and the add-in share the same Internet engine that IE does, I
hope it's just a matter of creating the IE security cookie under the new
version of IE. Use the EXCEL Web Query dialog to see if you're still log in
(keyboard shortcut alt+d+d+w). If not, log in. Then run
smfForceRecalculation and try your workbook again.

But I have no experience with later versions of IE.
