Can't get Bid and Ask size for some symbols (C, IBM, LVS, MGM...)

Does anyone else have this same problem for some symbols (returns "N/A")? Does anyone have a work around?

The work-around would be to go to a different source for the data, since
"N/A" is what Yahoo is populating the field with on the CSV files.

I am not sure there are other sources I can get this data.

Any variety of them:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=c
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ecn?s=C
http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/stock-price?symbol=C
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=C:US

Etc, Etc.

But none will be as convenient as Yahoo's CSV feed.

Are you suggesting to parse through there HTML to get the info I need? This sounds like a bad idea, I could possible get blocked if I make to many hits. There isn't anything else you know of that returns a csv, or xml, or json or something along those lines?

I'm curious why you're asking the question here if you don't use the add-in?
The parsing is done by the add-in functions.

I don't know of another service that provides such a file. However, you
could use the Yahoo quotes interface, provided you had the proper portfolio
view set up. For example:

http://finance.yahoo.com/quotes/C,IBM,MMM
http://finance.yahoo.com/quotes/C,IBM,MMM/view/dv

I do have the add-in to excel but I can't get it to work on my linux server so I thought I'd take a different approach.
