Re: [ExcelVBA] failing function

You're completely welcome.
From a personal standpoint, I always put forth a LOT of effort to find the problem before I resort to asking for help.
But at the same time, I tell people (and my co-workers) that they should ask early to AVOID the struggle.
Very much a case of "do as I say, not as I do".

Still, it's really embarrassing to them when they spend several hours trying to figure out the problem and I spot it in 3-5 minutes.

Do you use the VBEditor debugger much?
That is, setting a "breakpoint", then step through the code one line at a time while monitoring variables in a "watch" window?

In your case, you might have quickly been able to see when your code encountered a problem and exited prematurely.

PTL,
OK, I should have known this (easy enough to say after the fact), but I found the flaw in calculations not in my function call.   Needed to define the arrays correctly, and bingo there was the problem.  (Of course I had to spend the time putting the function together line group by line group, but it found the error!)

Thanks to all who answered!   And Paul for reminding me of the obvious to check my calculation before asking for help.
