Thanks, Randy. I found the XD in the HTML on the ETF.com site. For example, for SPY, it says:

<span class="field-r-next-exdividend-date">03/17/17</span>

So I tried various text strings to get it to return something, but I just get Error. I can't figure out how to construct my call. Any advice?

Try something like this:

=smfGetTagContent("http://www.etf.com/"&E7,"span",1,">Next Ex-dividend")

Yep, I tried that but it didn't work. So I tried variations on it, but no result. I am trying to match the tag contents but I'm not clear on how to formulate my request.

Hmmm. It's working on the tickers I'm using -- SPY, IWM, and SPHD.

Which tickers are you using?

Can you attach a sample workbook with just a few of those formulas in it?

When I opened my options spreadsheet Excel indicated that something was corrupted. It removed a couple records then opened. Stock market data is working but not options stuff.

RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla won't stay linked. In the "Edit Links" box the status comes up as "Unknown". Checking status changes it to "Source is open", but never to "OK". If I close that box then re-open it the status is back to "Unknown".

The "Workbook Connections" box has RCHGetElementNumber-Element-Definitions 'Element-Definitions$' listed. The lower box returns "Connection(s) not used in this workbook."

The "Add-Ins available:" box has "Stock Market Functions Add-in" listed and checked.

Thus the smfGetOptionQuotes() function isn't working.

Any suggestions?

Thanks much,

Michael

The add-in should be correctly connected if it is working for non-option
items.

In a new workbook, create an smfGetOptionQuotes() function to see if it
works. For example:

=smfGetOptionQuotes("MMM 2/3 2017 $180 Call","l")

Does that work?

Sounds like you need to keep doing it. Have you loss any weight since starting the high protein diet?

I started a low calorie Keto diet while in the hospital. Which basically means high protein at my body size. Still doing it now. Before the hospital, I was taking 400 units of insulin a day and averaging a 160 BG reading. I haven't used any insulin since I left rehab, and my BG has varied from 93 to 117.

No scale available. Weights on bariatric beds at the hospitals varied too
much to trust.

Any idea why this would return an error ?=RCHGetElementNumber("YHOO",13867)

Even though I see correct value on the actual page.Lot of other symbols return correct value but some of then return with error even when there is good value on the page

Thanks and regards, Sundeep Chadha
