Thanks Randy.

The problem website has me flagged as a robot and once I enter the captcha it lets me roam to as many tickers as I want but it doesn't fix the spreadsheet issue.

The robot thing is rather bizarre since I'm on their website for less than 5 minutes. The time it takes to populate prices and change in prices on one spreadsheet with a bunch of commodity tickers.

This morning it got stranger. I used three different browser to go to https://www.bloomberg.com/quote/BCOM:IND https://www.bloomberg.com/quote/BCOM:IND
Micosoft Edge shows me a blank page.

Firefox shows me data without entering a captcha and a Bloomberg page layout that is different than the

one loaded in Opera

Opera same as Firefox with different page layout. This layout appears to be their latest and greatest

I'll try googling out of this mess before talking to Bloomberg. At worst I can stick with the financial times website as it gives me what I'm looking for.

When you say it doesn't fix the spreadsheet issue -- you did run the
smfForceRecalculation macro, right? Otherwise, your formulas would just
recalculate by extracting data from the previously retrieved web pages.

Otherwise, if smfForceRecalculation doesn't get good values, the next
thing I would try is to use IE and remove the cookies for the web site, to
see if that makes any difference in the IE object within EXCEL.

I ran smfForceRecalculation macro, activated Adobe Flash and allowed cookies from bloomberg.com

and still can get the data to populate the spreadsheet.

I'll stick with the financial times website for now.

Thanks again for your help Randy. Keep well.

Hello Randy,

first of all thanks for your great add-in!

However I am having problems retrieving data from zacks:
https://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/MSFT/detailed-estimates https://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/MSFT/detailed-estimates

=RCHGetElementNumber(Ticker; 868) from SMF-Template-Zacks-Data.xls gives an "Error".
Also any other element nr.

Then I tried the template:
SMF-Quick-Webpage-Examination.xls
Tab: By Table Cell

Web Page: https://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/MSFT/detailed-estimates
Find 1: Earnings Estimates
Find 2:
Find 3:
Find 4:
End: </table

Also no data return.

I am running Excel 2007 and the latest version of your add-in.

Appreciate any help.

Best Regards ... Stan

Both element #868 and the "By Table Cell" worksheet of

SMF-Quick-Webpage-Examination.xls are working fine for me here.

Any change if you use the smfForceRecalculation macro? Zacks may have
delivered a bad web page...

Otherwise, use EXCEL's IE object (keyboard shortcut alt+d+d+w) -- do you
see the desired data when you visit the web page?

Thanks!
Problem solved.

After I updated to IE11 I could finally see the zacks data in IE and EXCEL's IE object.

Templates and RCHGetElementNumber are working now as well.

:)
