Hi Randy,

This isn't your problem (I don't think it is) but I'm increasingly frustrated with Yahoo publishing old or missing option quotes. For example if you look up LYV July '18 $45 Calls here you'll see the bid/ask of 3.40/3.70 with a Last Trade Date of 2018-07-03. (This is what =smfGetYahooPortfolioView() returns). This info is old.

https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/LYV/options?date=1532044800&straddle=false https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/LYV/options?date=1532044800&straddle=false

If you click on the link for that option you'll see a more detailed page showing a correct bid/ask of 5.00/5.20. This is what Fidelity shows also.

https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/LYV180720C00045000?p=LYV180720C00045000 https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/LYV180720C00045000?p=LYV180720C00045000

I can't remember which one it was but sometimes Yahoo won't even display the option itself even though every other financial inst. shows it.

I use =smfGetYahooPortfolioView() to pull quotes on 100-120 positions and it's not good to base financial decisions on bad data. If you know of an alternative or a way to avoid this I would really appreciate it. Thanks much.

I see this from time-to-time myself. But so far it hasn't been annoying
enough to make me switch to a different source of data.

If I did decide to do something, it would be to continue work towards
getting live quotes from my brokerage site, which is annoying for a
different reason -- the security cookie only exists for a limited amount of
time, so I need to keep recreating it. That's not something I want to
automate... :(

I'm not aware of another source that allows the variety that Yahoo does
with smfGetYahooPortfolioView(). There are many that allow multiple quotes
within a given equity and expiration date, but that doesn't help much if I
want option quotes for multiple equities and multiple expiration dates.

I was using Barchart for my option quotes before smfGetYahooPortfolioView(),
but had gotten frustrated with that because I found out they only update
their option quotes hourly.

So, unfortunately, I'm still on the lookout for something better myself....

Feeling very stupid. Have used SMF for many years to get stock current price. Last used v2017.11.08 in Feb. Now get "error" or after removing v2017.11.08 and installing v2018.01.24 get #NAME. In a new spreadsheet ("Version") works fine but old spreadsheets are still trying to link to v2017.11.08. The Edit > Links box shows the location is still v2017.11.08 and I can't figure how to change the location.

No worries. Just run the smfFixLinks macro from the add-in. It will
remove all of those hard-coded locations and point to the function being
used by the add-in manager.

Unfortunately, you'll need to do it with each workbook that pointed to the
old location, because the location is stored when workbook is saved. But
once you fix and save for a given workbook, it will be pointing to the
location that is in place when they are saved.

The SMF section of the context menu (i.e. via a right mouse click) contains
a "Fix Links" entry, which can run the macro.
