My ticker array has 120 stocks listed.

Yesterday morning, when I updated the quotes (closing price only), only the first nine securities returned prices. It remained that way for a couple of hours (I think until after the market opened, East Coast time). Then the problem cleared up.

This morning, I'm having the same problem. Only the first nine stocks have quotes--the rest, nothing.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this problem. It's as if Yahoo has restricted the number of quotes it will deliver in one gulp at the start of the day, and then relaxes that restriction after a time.

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

This has typically been because of a bad ticker symbol. One that got
changed or delisted. For some such situations, the Yahoo feed doesn't
handle that issue well and stops. Since Yahoo doesn't always return ticker
symbols in the same order they were sent, it may not be obvious which
ticker symbol is the possible culprit. Especially when currency quotes are
involved. But I'd start with where it stopped?

I guess it's possible, but today after the market opened the problem self-cleared. I suspect a problem at Yahoo's end, not mine.

I track GM-WTB (my tickers are arranged alphabetically, and that is about 1/3 of the way down the list.

Some mornings I find that Yahoo can't provide a quote for those warrants----but it's always been just for that one. The other 100+ are no problem. That, seems to clears after some time and usually before the market opens.

I'll check this out again tomorrow. FYI, here are the first ten tickers; the last two days number 9 is the last one that works, but then it fixes itself!
