Hi

I'm trying to get a quote by date with the function smfPricesByDates.

It is not working for me. Is there something wrong ?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure what to tell you. I cut and paste it into EXCEL and it's returning
"57.16192245" for me.

Try it again. If it still doesn't work, try the smfForceRecalculation macro
to force a fresh web page request.

I assume you're using the current published version of the add-in?

I am trying to access information from Google Cash Flow elements, such as 3902 (annual capital expenditures), 3926 (annual total cash dividends paid), and 3932 (Issuance (retirement) of stock, net).
Do these no longer work?
I get "ERROR" when I try them in a spreadsheet.

If they don't work, is there another set of SMF_addin elements that will work for me?
Thanks for your help,
Dick

Sorry, but Google Finance is no longer a viable source of data.. They
dismantled their finance website and replace it with a half-***ed tab on
the search page. They gave advance notice of that obsoleting process in
late 2017.

I primarily use GuruFocus data elements, but I'm a paid subscriber because
it opens up a ton of data.

You can see what Morningstar has:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/smf_addin/conversations/messages/19776

But, again, subscribers have access to more data.

Otherwise, AdvFN and Reuter's are possibilities. Take a glance through
available templates.

Howdy all,
I use RCHGetElementNumber(ticker,4892) to monitor YTD performance of mutual funds and ETFs that I hold. Starting on Jan 1st, it stopped updating. Well, sort of. Mutual funds have frozen at their final value for 2018 and ETFs are all coming back 0. Thought maybe we needed to have at least one market close for 2019, so I tried again this morning and am still getting the same thing.

What I've tried per tips & tricks in the documentation:
I've run smfforcerecalculation - macro runs but no updates
I've checked that IE is set up to grab the website each time.

Ideas?

Cheers

Well, never mind - apparently just threatening my computer with asking the question on this group solved the problem. Seems to be working now...

Cheers.
