Randy,

I used to get historic quote from Investing.com using the below macro

=RCHGetTableCell("https://www.investing.com/equities/tencent-holdings-hk-historical-data",1,">Jan 22, 2019")

But lately, it is not working. Please help.

Also, can I get historical quote from Yahoo using smfGetYaooPortfolioview ?

Regards

Alan

That function worked fine for me when I tried it.

smfGetYahooPortfolioView() can get the previous day's closing price, but no
other historical quotes.

Randy,

I have a list of ten stock using the format of the above macro. However, some of the Stock can have quote and some didn't. I also try to reinstall the add-in. But still having intermittent problem. Is there any thing I can do to ?

Alan

Hello,

I don't want to re-invent bicycle and hope somebody has answer how to use "Factor of dividend adjustments" in smfGetYahooHistory() already.
How can I calculate real dividends paid?

Thank you
JCH

I'm not sure what you're asking?

If you want the dividend history, just use the "v" value for the "period"
parameter.

I'd like to estimate min and max yields for past years, so need to know annual dividends, and prices .
When I use "v" parameter I get dividends ONLY.

Dividends (esp. old) are strange when I use "a" parameter., e.g. for MMM I got the following (see below) numbers that do not match with dividend history after splits (see below).

It seems that Yahoo dividends should be recalculated. HOW?

Thank you
JCH

The stream of numbers you sent would only mean anything after spending a
lot of time reorganizing it. As I recall, dividend adjustments from Yahoo
are not correct for anything other than daily data.

The best way to do what you're attempting would be to retrieve daily data
in one array and dividend data in another array and then do vlookup() or
sumproduct() functions to extract and consolidate what you need as you need
it. At issue would also be whether you are interested in yields based on
trailing 12 months or expected for the next 12 months.

Thank you, Randy!
I hoped that some SMF users figured out how to solve problem using just one array.
