Hi Randy,
Previously I had made the suggested .IB change. Can you remind me please which file that applied to so I can go back and remove.
Thanks for your help

I made changes to the smfGetAdvFNElement() routine that should allow data to be retrieved, using their new URL scheme. That means RCHGetElementNumber() functions for AdvFN elements should also work.
It appears to work for both general templates in the FILES area.
However, I can only test changes using their "www" prefix. I don't know if other regional prefixes will work or not. Or whether you even NEED to use other regional prefixes any more.
And, of course, when they do go their new beta format, all bets are off until THAT gets stabilized.

It's the smf-AdvFN-Prefix.txt file that is in the folder with the add-in.
Either delete that file or change the content to be just "www" (without the
quotes).

Hi Randy,
With the updated smfaddin for the ADVFN beta site, I have a question regarding element number 13166...it appears the most recent quarter, for example GOOG, I get 0.10 and for the next 19 quarters I get:
14.80 15.00 15.50 17.20 17.50 16.70 17.50 17.30 17.10 18.40 18.30 18.20 18.40 18.10 14.60 14.50 14.50 15.00 18.40
I checked with "Return on Assets (element number 13206) and I get similar results. It appears there's and error with how the addin is retrieving the most recent quarter's data for that element? Why is it completely off? Thanks in advance!

When I check the AdvFN site, those are the numbers I see:
http://www.advfn.com/exchanges/NASDAQ/GOOG/financials?btn=quarterly_reports&mode=company_data
So it's not an add-in issue. It's just retrieving what they have posted.

Oh I see...so are some of the elements being pulled from the new beta site and some from the old site? Because if you go to the new beta site, the ROCI for the period ending 6/30/13 is 14.93%. But I see what you're saying...the old site shows 0.1. Thanks.
