Haven't looked at ADVFN in a while so I just looked at it (MSFT) and it appears they are back to the original reporting format. Anyone know if they have abandoned the beta reporting that they seemed to be going to?
I checked this link:

Hi Randy,

4812, 4813 don't work for me. Also new Reuters elements 731 plus not working. I downloaded the new files from works-in-progress. Any suggestions?

These are working fine for me:

=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM";,731)/100
=RCHGetElementNumber("SPY";,4812)
=RCHGetElementNumber("SPY";,4813)

Several possibilities come to mind:

1. You may have updated the element definition files, but did you have the
add-in reload them? Typically, they are only loaded once -- the first time
an element number is used. Otherwise, you need to run the
smfForceRecalculation macro (actually, reloading element definitions was
the original reason it was written), or exit and restart EXCEL. That's one
reason I suggest exiting EXCEL before updating the add-in files.

2. Morningstar is one of those sites that sometimes require an IE cookie,
even if you don't log in. That's because it has processing to do a possible
redirection to advertising on your first visit of the day. Having IE create
the cookie that says you visited the web site that day suppresses that
redirection process. For example, when I first opened up a MorningStar
template today, I got all "Error" results. I hit alt+d+d+w to pull up the
EXCEL Web Query Dialog, navigated to the Morningstar.com website, then
cancelled out of the dialog. Then ran smfForceRecalculation to have the
add-in get a fresh copy of the web pages it needed. All the results came
back fine.
