I appreciate your sharing this tool and i will make sure that everyone knows about SMF_AddIn. This is just for a Meetup investing group so it isn't some big product. Maybe I can get some of our group to become members here. As I mentioned, we have some skilled people that may be able to add ideas.

From what I am reading in your suggestion it looks like I should just copy the code right into the workbook. I can do that and it does make sense.

I was hoping there was a way to have Excel just wrap everything up together and have some kind of Excel executable, but I suppose that is wishful thinking.

Thanks for the advice. I have a direction now.

>>>>>>>>>>/////A few people have charged for distribution of workbooks. I don't have an issue with that, as long as it's made clear the add-in is available for free and that the charge is for the additional work put into the creation of the workbook (e.g. a DCF model or whatnot) and not for the functionality of the add-in itself. That is, you're selling a house and not the building blocks and tools used to build the house.///////<<<<<<<<<

Many ppl have charged many things but Randy continues contributing without charging a dime !!

amazing ! truly amazing !

Mighty thanks & best regards

Dear Original poster / Hedgefundint

Is that "finance group" or the discussions thereof available online ?

Hi Subu

The group is the South Florida Option Trading Forum on meetup.com. If you are interested you can find it here.

I am one of the organizers. Regrettably we have been dormant for the last year due to some distractions, but I am hoping we can get things rolling again soon.

I am sorry, but the group does not really have any online forum. The organization was specifically created to get people together face to face and away from our computers, therefore our focus really isn't online communications.

And yes, I am very impressed with Randy and this tool he freely provides everyone. I know it has been a huge help with lots of work I have done.

Thanks,
Doug Robertson {hedgefundit}

Anyone else having a problem? Couldn't get an update late yesterday at 5:00 p.m. CST and it appears not to be working again today in the Dallas TX area. Prior to yesterday it was updating working fine. I suspect it's probably on the Yahoo side but wanted to confirm.

Just tried this, and it worked fine for me:

=RCHGetYahooQuotes("MMM,IBM")

Last trade times were about 15 minutes delayed, as I would expect.

Thanks Randy. I suspect it's a local Yahoo server issue like we experienced in the past.
