Can I use this function on an apple computer?

Possibly.
I believe most use it in a simulated Windows environment.
However, one person wrote some VBA for the Mac and I put it into the
add-in. His write-up is here:

Some have been successful with that. Others not. I know little about the
Mac, so can offer no support.
