ETFScreen data Elements (i.e. 1084) are not longer working for me. I was wondering if anyone else is having same error. Appreciate any help.

They were redirecting "http://etfscreen.com" URLs to "
http://www.etfscreen.com", which caused it to stop working.

I updated the element definitions in file smf-elements-9.txt. The new file
is in the "Works in Progress" folder.

After updating that file in your SMF folder, you either need to exit and
restart EXCEL, or run the smfForceRecalculation macro (see LINKS area of
group for more info) to have it reload the element definitions.

Randy,
Thank you very much for the update. Works great.

hello randy,

now it works.

it is quite surprising for me. It seems that when i search asian stock exchanges, there are always problems fully extracting the data

in another extraction in wall street journal, i have also problem extracting the full income statement, balance sheet and cash flow for example

http://quotes.wsj.com/HK/XHKG/2388?mod=DNH_S_cq

where only the special code ''?mod=DNH_S_cq'' causes improper extraction of the datas

do u have any idea what causes it?

How do I use SMF Add in to insert the latest price for specific market indices? I tried =RCHGetYahooQuotes("^DJI","l1")and it returns "Missing Symbols List". Any suggestions? also would like ^IXIC and ^GSPC.

Thanks

^IXIC and ^GSPC should work fine.

The ^DJI problem is because last year Dow Jones licensing agreements said
that Yahoo could no longer provide Dow Jones data in their CSV file format,
which is what the RCHGetYahooQuotes() and RCHGetYahooHistory() functions
use.

You can extract the ^DJI index data from their current quote web page, but
the means can vary depending on whether you are accessing it pre-market,
post-market, or during trading hours. And they seem to change the
presentation often enough that it's a pain to keep current.

I personally just stick to the ETF equivalents these days. Much easier to
deal with, are more easily traded, options are more easily accessible, and
they include the effects of dividends.

Thank you for the quick reply. I use the indices simply as a historical reference in some of my files. I was able to get the ^IXIC and ^GSPC as you suggested. I would note the ^DJI works perfectly fine directly on Yahoo's web site. I then tried to get the DOW using:
=RCHGetElementNumber("$INDU",25). This returns a value of 14,988.55 from MSN which is the 'previous close' from July 3, rather than the last price of 15,135.84 (the close of July 5). Any suggestions?

Thanks

Unfortunately, when MSN redesigned their print page last year, the changed
the definition of "Last Price" to be the previous day's close.

The Yahoo "Market Overview" page might be the easiest:

=RCHGetTableCell("http://finance.yahoo.com/marketupdate/overview",1,">Dow")
=RCHGetTableCell("http://finance.yahoo.com/marketupdate/overview
",1,">NASDAQ")
=RCHGetTableCell("http://finance.yahoo.com/marketupdate/overview",1,">S&P
500")

Is there any website that I can pull, using the SMF Add-In, the "S&P Quality Ranking" and "S&P Credit Ranking" for a stock?
