If you go on to the below mentioned link, there is a balance sheet Mar 13 to Mar 09 - I am (with your help) by =RCHGETHTMLTABLE able to get this data in excel, however if you notice there is a "Previous Years >>" link just above the table, when clicked gives us the balance sheet records for Mar 08 to Mar 04.
Since the url remains the same for both new year and previous year, can you help me if we can get this ("Previous year") data any way for =RCHGETHTMLTABLE function.

Every time I start Excel there are some new problems with their data and that's good, the bad thing is when I don't notice problems.
Beside missing quarters (chronic problem), today I noticed that financial data is absolutely unusable. All quarters are mixed up and of course data is wrong, also there is discrepancy between annual results and sum of all quarters in Income statement (for data I am using RCHGetHTMLTable)
I've double checked data and compare it with YF and GF. Company in question is DLTR.
Does any1 knows what's going on, it's kind of strange that they can not fix their site for that long?

For quite some time now I have been unable to get smf-element-1 to work. When I load the Motley Fool spreadsheets, I get "error" and "value" messages in the fields. This has gone on for over a year and I do have all the latest files loaded.
I am using Windows 7, Excel 2010 and it shows using 4 processors when I first load. I have tried the force calculation method as well.
I can live without it for sure, but, I do like the worksheets that have been uploaded and they would be nice additions to my larger research workbook.
Thanks
Richard

I'll need more info, since what you're telling me doesn't make sense to me.
The smf-elements-1.txt file contains element definitions for data from MSN
web pages. And I don't know which Motley Fool spreadsheets you are talking
about. In any case, the two would be unrelated. If the files are from the
"Uploads by Forum Members" folder, I don't support those workbooks.
However, if you would cite a few particular formula examples that are
having problems, I would be happy to look at those.
I will note that there was some talk several months ago on the TMF
discussion boards that TMF had bought some software that would prevent
automated web page retrieval from their web site. I've not tested that.

Hi Randy,
I am trying to pull the style box data from Morningstar39;s static pages. I was using element 880 but it wasn't working for every security. For example, APD pulls in "Error" but shows "Large Core" on the following page (http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/printreport.aspx?symbol=apd http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/printreport.aspx?symbol=apd)
The following formula isn't working, Do you see the error?
=RCHGetTableCell("http://quicktake.morningstar.com/fund/printreport.aspx?symbol="&$B18,1,"Key Stats", "Morningstar Style Box")
Thanks

The problem is that your formula is using a mutual fund print report URL,
not the stock print report URL you cite immediately before it. The actual
formula you would need to pull it from the stock print URL is:
=RCHGetTableCell("
http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/printreport.aspx?symbol="&$B18,2,"Key
Stats", "Morningstar Style Box")
However, I'm pretty sure the "Print Report" web pages will eventually
disappear, since M* no longer has any direct links to them.
Element 880 for APD works fine here, but I'm using the updated element
definitions from the "Works in Progress" folder. The new element definition
pulls the data from this web page, which M* uses to build their new dynamic
web pages:
