Thanks Randy.

Having established that the set up is not the source of the problem, can you offer me some guidance on what to look for on their website in the context of the add-in that would help me make sense of it all?

Is it possible (and how) download information about
company WWW site
company IR email
company CEO name
company Chair of Board name
based on the company ticker?

but how recognize Chairman and CEO and download?

Problem solved - not exactly sure why....

Upon researching the software update log, I noticed that there were two update failures for IE9 (prior to the smf_addin failures).

Last night I was able to download and install the IE9 software and decline the extra security software.

Microsoft Defender has been running in the background in addition to my normal CA security software, thus I turned off the Defender software.

After these two changes, the smf_addin software works like normal.

I know the primary issue was IE8, but not sure what exactly was causing the problems.
