Hi

Yes I'm having the same problem, I ran the AdvFN Fianacial Statements template in February and now coming up with error messages. I have checked the security settings as per the fix posted back in 2010.

Regards
Simon

Mutual Fund Rank in Category % - 3Yr

Randy,

This data is element number 5043, and pulls from Yahoo. You have noted in earlier posts that if the return is NA, then Yahoo is no longer reporting the data. That does indeed seem to be the case. However, it appears that Morningstar is still providing that data on their website. I have experimented with GetTableCell quicktake....printreport without success, as well as =RCHGetTableCell("http://portfolios.morningstar.com/fund/summary?t="&$B3,1,"Rank in category & 3 yr"), also with no luck.

Could you possibly take a look at this? Many thanks in advance.....

I don't even see a rank in category on that web page. The performance tab,
as well as the print version of the performance tab, are both dynamically
generated web pages, so there are no values in the source code from which
to extract data.

And I don't see values on the old extractable print report:

Thanks for the reply.

I can see the number under the "Quote" tab, under Performance, % Rank in Cat, and then 3 and 5 year values. Should I assume that this page, too, is dynamically generated and thus does not have extractable data?

The "Quote" tab is also dynamically generated. Sorry.

Re: Latest user posting seems in error

Here is what is going on.

I upload the file using Firefox.  The file gets hosed.  I get a hex display.

I upload the file using Internet Explorer.  The file is an .xls file.

I will contact Yahoo.  They may have a clue as to what is going on.

BTW, I am glad someone is using the file - or at least downloading it.

Thanks for the reference to Links. I have reviewed 9.5 and 9.4.2 in "Links." I am using Excel 2010 on a Win7 machine, and I have toggled "Every time..." per 9.4.2.

Under 9.5, where do I get, or how do I determine the macro name to type into the macro dialog window?

Just type in the full name: smfForceRecalculation

At that point, the buttons should activate.
