Thanks Randy.

But it does not seem to work in my setup using TAB as delimiters. It returned all zero's.

May be I was doing something wrong.

Could you please try it on your setup to see if it works or not?

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks again Randy.
I did a re-installation of the smf Add-in and this time it works.  It seems that I did not install it correctly the first time.
Now, the key question is how to retrieve multiple Symbols at a time using this method?
I can write some VBA code to do that, but, is there an easy way to do multiple symbol Open Interest retrieval just using the smfGetCSVFile function?  Or is there any other functions that can do the trick?
Thanks a lot.  You are the best !

Sorry. You'd need to get each file individually -- unless they provide a
single file with multiple ticker symbols on it?

Okay.  Thanks Again.
I just wrote a VBA macro, which retrieves Open Interest files for multiple symbols (of course one at a time), and then open/parse all of the retrieved text files into a single Excel spreadsheet with a neat format. I did not use "smfGetCSVFile" function, because it can only do one symbol at a time.
Still got some clean-up to do, but the basic functionality is working fine.  With this huge amount of data, I just put all of these Open Interests for all of the symbols into a single Pivot Table, and it looks great, and I can play all kind of data analysis.
Thanks.

Hi Randy,

Morning. A quick one.

I have smfGetTagContent to get a text mixed with number. For example, xwydfakjhljkhserlkhaer190.82. I want to get the last number "190.82". The number of digit of this number varies. Are there any way to do it?

Thank you so much.

Best regards,
L

Unless there's a pattern in the string you can use, you'll have to search
for the first numeric. Try something like:

=smfConvertData(MID(B3,MIN(FIND({1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0},B3&1234567890)),99))

I have never had a problem finding SMF_addin .xla file before but now I cannot find it. It doesn't seem to be located in the "Files" group.

Help!

As the "Read Me" file there, and the banner on the front of the group, and
the footer of each message from the group indicate, it's been moved to a
website:

Wondering if anyone can tell me why I can extract all the individual table cell data from the following web page, but using the GetHTMLTable function only returns the first line of the table?

It's because they aren't coding the HTML tag to end each row of the table.
RCHGetHTMLTable() is just a simple HTML parser, and expects all HTML table
tags to be coded.
