I was wondering if there was anyway to create a spreadsheet with the 10-year financial data from guru focus. I tried making a sheet but I was unsuccessful, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

See attached spreadsheet.

In the "Get Prices" tab enter the stock symbol and click on the "Get data from Google" button.

Check the "Uploads from Members" folder in the FILES area of the group. A
forum member updated a template there just recently.

Thank you for the link. I found this one below but it is read-only and I cant seem to get it to work.

10 year model - GuruFocus - Non-Financials Only.xlsx https://xa.yimg.com/df/smf_addin/10+year+model+-+GuruFocus+-+Non-Financials+Only.xlsx?token=n0zEGmPMUgpg3J_wUzhg0nAhTmsnLl_CMt89u1Wr0d_9lMCOvfLSpIqADxp-k9f7Hs5-CzKA6pHNvHm91Xu48g37V6HphaGpVepAzKP5-M-S_bpNrQUtFRzdcU4sGFO7Mkg2phLF4QEDiykLxThPKCiUhuCd3KTda7nXzeXnub3Ec4UIXGzP_c3R3NqzreFE2JeBiWZiXvfqbzQT1GpesQ&type=download

Define not working? You can't open it? Or what?

If you have location errors, they are easily fixed by using the smfFixLinks
macro that is now within the add-in. See the "Location Errors" item on the
"Tips and FAQs" page of the add-in website.

I just opened this, changed the FB ticker to AAPL and hit F9 to recalculate and all I get is broken links. Not so sure this file is any good.

I got it half ways to work. I updated the RCH_Stock_Market_Functions file, and that helped. But For some reason it is not bringing back values for revenues & ebitda, just #NAME? I'm using an older version of excel and there is no smffixlink under the macro menu.

The macro menu only shows macros from open workbooks, not from add-ins.

I'm not sure what you mean by "updated" the XLA file. I hope you didn't
move it. That will cause unresolved links on any add-in workbook you've
saved on your machine.

The #NAME? error usually means location errors if the add-in is installed
and working. That calls for smfFixLinks.

Just as aside -- in most cases, F9 will not recalculate the data retrieved
for add-in functions. You'd need to use the smfForceRecalculation macro.
See the "Tips and FAQs" add-in web page for more info on what that macro
does.

Just changing the ticker symbol should have caused all of the cells to
update, so F9 wouldn't have been necessary anyway.

No I didn't move the XLA file, in the formula bar it shows this as the first thing: _xlfn.IFERROR

I dont know how to use the smfFixLinks because im using Excel 2003 ( I know #OLD) LOL.

When I open the file it says

"The file has been opened in read-only mode to protect the original file."

"One or more functions in this workbook are not available in this version of excel. When recalculated these functions will return #NAME?"

I'm on ogres-crypt.com/SMF/ http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/ and it looks like the last element update was January 2014. Unfortunately half the elements are broken. Is that just the best there is or is there a new updated list? Thank you.

The last updates were in October. See the "Works in Progress" folder.

All MSN elements are now obsolete because they revamped their website at
the end of September. I was hoping they'd add back more info, but they
haven't.

I won't update the official release until I decide what to do with a few
web site changes over the last 3-4 months. Primarily Yahoo options and MSN
web pages.

I looked in the "Works In Progress" folder but there are only 2 files, ReadMe and Get888. There's another folder "Need to be looked at" but that doesn't have any files from Oct14 in it.
