Sorry about that. It is the file "FWallStreet_GF_Mod.xlsm";.

I may have solved part of the problem.

1. Auto-calculation has to be set to "Automatic". If calculation is set to Manual, where you have to tell Excel to calculate by pressing F9, the "Run List" button in the file does not work. It will set the values in the "List" worksheet to be all the same because it runs the script but does not calculate between each loop.

2. To fix this in code, I added this line to the VBA:

Application.Calculation = xlCalculationAutomatic

right before the line:
For lRow = 1 To nTickers

3. I still get #NAME? on the "List" worksheet for the Company (name) (column B) and the price (column C).

Can you help with #3?

Sorry. I don't decode files uploaded by other people...

But, typically the #NAME? is a result of a location error. See the "Tips
and FAQs" page for info on that.

No need for the add-in to do it -- that's a normal EXCEL function. See:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/smf_addin/conversations/messages/22983

The key thing is whether the XLS file is *created* by the URL, or whether
the XLS file is simply sitting on the server ready to be accessed. If it
needs to be created on the fly, the above reference technique won't work.
You'd need to write your own VBA routine to get the file downloaded.

Hi Randy,

It works! So amazing! Thank you so much for teaching me.

I have asked you many questions in last two years, and the smf addin has really helped me a lot. Much appreciated. Wish you a great, happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Cheers,
L
