Is there an alternative pricing source I could use where I don't have to worry about this? Yahoo Finance's behavior is a bit of an oddball here.

You can get it from MorningStar (adjusted for splits only?) with something
like:

=INDEX(smfGetCSVFile("
http://performance.morningstar.com/Performance/stock/exportStockPrice.action?pd=custom&freq=d&sd=09/14/2015&ed=09/14/2015&t=MMM
",,3,5),3,5)

Or, from Google (adjusted for splits only?), with something like:

=smfConvertData(smfGetTagContent("
https://www.google.com/finance/historical?&startdate=Sep+14%2C+2015&enddate=Sep+14%2C+2015&q=MMM
","td",5,">Date","<tr"))

...or:

=INDEX(smfGetCSVFile("
http://www.google.com/finance/historical?startdate=Sep+14%2C+2015&enddate=Sep+14%2C+2015&q=MMM&output=csv
",,2,5),2,5)
