Besides using RCHGetYahooQuotes() to get partial names of a security, is there another way so that I can get the complete name?

Thanks.

How do I retrieve the complete name of a security? I have been using RCHGetYahooQuotes, but it's been truncating the name and doesn't give me the complete name.

Any ideas?

Try searching the message archives -- it's been discussed recently.

What am I searching for? I've tried searching in the archives for "names" but nothing close to what I'm looking for comes up?

Could you provide me with what I should be searching for, or a link please?

Thanks.

Sigh. I have so many questions where the first thing *I* have to do is a
search in order to FIND the link. Even when I was the "computer guru" of my
IT group, usually the first thing I did when someone came to me with a
question was to pull the manual off my shelf.

In any case, this was the first thread I found when searching for "full
name":

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/smf_addin/messages/15206?threaded=1&m=e&var=1&tidx=1

It was on the third page when using a search term of "name". It was on the
first page for "complete name" -- which was the question you were asking.
Sometimes it does take searching on several different terms or variations of
terms to find something of use.

Randy-

Sorry. I know it was a stupid question to ask for something so darn simple to begin with, and like I said, I've tried searching for it a number of times, and didn't come up with anything like I wanted.... Hence, the reason for my posting.

But, that being said.... my apologies.

Downloading worksheet for first time

I have downloaded the smf add-in to c:\programs\SMF Add-In. I then went to excel options and clicked on add-ins. I didn't see smf add-in as a choice. Am I looking for some other description?

Thanks, David

You need to use the add-in manager to install it into EXCEL. But I don't
think it will show up on a list anywhere other than there.

I was looking at this message. In your solution, what does the "a" refer to?

From the documentation:

*Tag * = The type of tag to retrieve content from -- "table", "td", "li",
"span", etc.
In this case, an "anchor" tag:

Randy,

I had a problem with my computer and had to use the Recovery disks to get in working condition again. Is there any way to load file 05yr_OSV_Stock_Valuation without having to pay for it again?

Thanks, David

Not one of my files. You'd need to contact the Old School Value website.
