Hi, I got the F9 refresh data thing figured out. It works.

However, I want all of my cells in my Yahoo Fed spreadsheet to automatically refresh every minute, which will not require me to press F9.

My Excel version, 2003, has instructions to do so but it is not clear and I have tried to do what it says but the Data Refresh small window will not allow me to change it (inputs are not allowing me to click them).

Is there an easy way to make my sheet automatically refresh?

Thanks,

DJ

F9 will not update most of the add-in functions. RCHGetYahooQuotes() is
about the only one, and only if you set it up that way. Other functions
would require smfForceRecalculation (see LINKS area of Yahoo Group for more
info).

Data Refresh should be useless, as it applies to EXCEL's data manipulation
processes.

For an automatic refresh, you would need to write your own VBA timing
routine. Google "VBA onTime" and you should find a number of examples.

Randy,

The SMF_addin instructions state -
You would extract all of the files into the "C:\Program Files\SMF Add-in" file folder on your computer.

On one of my computers I can only add folders/files in the following path "C:\Apps\.." Would this be the reason that my links are not working on this computer? If so, how can I remedy the situation?

I very much appreciate the spreadsheet tool you have developed and have enjoyed using it for a few years. Thanks!

You can locate the add-in almost anywhere you want. However, if you open a
workbook that had the add-in in a different location, you will need to
manually edit all of the links. Or, try the smfFixLinks macro that comes
with the add-in -- it's what I use when I have unresolved links for add-in
location issues.

With this add-in, you could get it from Yahoo or MSN with:

=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM",944)
=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM",14049)

Hi, I'm a newbie around here. I'm trying to link to CME currencies futures pricing but have failed so far.

I have been able to get pricing from Yahoo but it appears to be wrong. For example, I am getting Sep12 euro/$ futures pricing with the following equation: =RCHGetYahooQuotes(ECU12.CME,last price,,,).

I haven't found this pricing on CME yet but perhaps it's a case of me not being able to find it. If I were able to find it there, what would be the equation I would use.

I used to have a full blown Bloomberg subscription that I used to get the currencies futures in the past, but alas, I no longer have that subscription. Is it possible to the these prices from Bloomberg.com and if so, what would be the equation I would use?

Thanks for your help!
