RE: [ExcelVBA] Merge Excell files in Directory

Hi Steven

A simple way to tackle this will be to record a macro as you do it for at least two workbook. Then we can provide guidance on how to generalise the recorded code to be generic for the job at hand.

You may also want to consider opening each file in succession, copying, pasting to your master workbook, closing versus using the external data methods under the data tab. If your file names and number of files stay the same this might end up being a one-button operation once you have set it up.

Subject: [ExcelVBA] Merge Excell files in Directory

Hi I would like merge all excel files in a directory. I would like to apply my own column headings so need the the merge process to ignore the first 4 rows of the workbook and start importing data from line 5 for each file. Also I would like to ignore all formatting from the imported sheets. I need to perform this function frequently and would like to have a script to help save me some time. Alny help that you can provide will be much appreciated.
