You can just use the following in a single cell to retrieve the price. A1 is the cell containing the ticker. The value in quotes is a lower case L followed by the number 1.

=RCHGetYahooQuotes(A1,"l1")

If you want to retrieve quotes for more than one ticker, or return more than a single element, you must enter the above as an array formula.

Ah, thank you. It was a lower case L. I could not tell by looking at the table! Thanks! It works like a charm now!

Be sure to also pick up the smf-elements-*.txt files that have been updated
after the ZIP file was created. Those were additional element definition
changes. I only update the ZIP file when program code has changed.

Thank you very much! Once I get this working, it will save me hundreds of hours typing in data...like I have been doing.
And, thank you for responding quickly.

Hello!,

Is there a way to go to the current quarter in the Quarterly Balance Sheet, without me having to manually go into the RCH elements and guess which one that particular company is in?

For instance, HPQ's latest reported quarter was Q1'14, yet, say TSLA's last reported quarter may be Q4'13. Right now what I am doing is double checking if I am mapped to the correct quarter by looking at the actual data. Sometimes I notice that I have the wrong latest ended quarter improperly mapped over. This, of course defeats the purpose of "automating" in the way I am mapping now...

Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Where are you seeing Q1/2014 data
for HPQ? Their fiscal first quarter isn't official until the end of
January...

The FY1 element should always be the most current reported fiscal quarter
from the data source. They won't necessarily match up between companies:

-- Companies can have different fiscal periods
-- Companies may have shorter or longer lags between end of quarter to when
results are reported
-- Data sources may have lags between when those results get posted to
their site

It looks like HPQ's fiscal year ended in October, while TSLA's ended in
December. According to Zack's, both are expected to release their next
quarterly results about Feb 19th or 20th -- Q1 for HPQ and Q4 for TSLA.

Thanks Randy,

You answered my question: The Q1 data is always the most current when it relates to the data pull from the web.

I guess they should rename the data elements to be something like "Current Quarter", "One Quarter Back", etc.

Marc
