Actually, no need for SMF -- EXCEL can refer to XLS files on the Internet

However, it looks like the URL you cited *creates* the XLS file, instead of
being an actual address of a file. It created an XLS file that has a name
like this, which appears to be only temporary:

Stock_Dataset_GuruFocus_2014-01-27-20-23.xls

Thanks Randy, I've managed to get the code to the point where it can download and open the file in excel, however I am having trouble merging the downloaded workbook into the original workbook (there are multiple worksheets and I do not have any experience using loops)...
