Randy,

Thank you again for all your hard work! I've automated RCHGetElementNumber to data mine a bunch of info every quarter for about 2000 stocks. It works great, but every few hundred stocks it seems to quit working and I have to close and reopen excel to bring it back to life. Is this expected? Is there any way to automate the "rejuvenation" of RCHGetElementNumber?

Thanks,
Michael

The add-in is meant for ad hoc data collection, not to build databases. The
last thing I want is for the free data providers to make it impossible for
people to use something like the add-in, because they are bombarded with
requests for data.

Having said that, the add-in can only grab data on 1000 web pages per
session, because it needs to save the web page in a slot before it can
extract data from the web page.

You really should be using a screening tool of some type to wean down the
number of stocks you want more detailed data on.

I saw some questions at this website regarding Stock Scouter. Unfortunately, my Firefox 33
won't allow me to send a reply. Apparently it only lets me add a new topic...so here is what I found.

Apparently Microsoft IS NOT the creator of Stock Scouter. Apparently they had some business deal with verusanalytics.com, that is the creator.

I inquired to Verusanalytics and they sent me a reply saying they are looking to either 1. find another provider for Stock Scouter...or 2. Offer a subscription for it. They told me it would be several months before they know.

You can check out there website shown above..I believe it has some comments on Microsoft and Stock Scouter.
