Hey Randy,

Quick question. I have been running this economic report for over a year now and all my CSV downloads from FRED have worked perfectly until today.

I was using this as my formula: =smfGetCSVFile(http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/data/PERMIT.csv) http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/data/PERMIT.csv) and it's not working now. I should also add that other add in formulas for other sites (Yahoo stock history, get HTML table) are working. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Zach

It looks like they've changed it so that the file is created on the fly
instead of physically sitting on the server for the function to retrieve.

Ahhh...they changed the URL of the file. It now requires the "https:"
protocol. Try:

=smfGetCSVFile("https://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/data/PERMIT.csv")

Awesome Randy. Thanks! Figured it was something that small but couldn't figure it out. Hope you had a great 4th!

I'm in the same boat. Would love to have a working GF file. The 2003 version has the same problem for me.
