Hello Randy. You probably answered this in the past but I couldn't find it. I recently got a new computer that uses Windows Excel 2013 ( and Windows 7). I copied your smf add in to the directory c:|Program Files\SMF Add-In\ ...and and I set up excel to read it in that directory. I also moved my former spreadsheets to my new computer.
Now, every time I open up Excel, even a blank sheet, it gives me an error message: "Sorry, we couldn't find c:\smf add-in\RcH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla. Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?".

Do you know what is causing this and how do I fix this? thx.

Note that the two locations you give below are different.

It sounds like you've set up the add-in manager to point to the wrong
location.

But I've never seen that error message before, so I'm just guessing.

What I would suggest:

1. Go to the add-in manager and uncheck the add-in
2. Exit EXCEL (hopefully this will clear any pointers that might exist)
3. Restart EXCEL
4. Add the add-in back to EXCEL using the add-in manger
5. Exit and restart EXCEL again

That has worked for people before who have had some type of issue with the
location of the add-in.

Hello Randy...just tried it..didn't work..i still get the error message...even when i open a new blank excel worksheet..it tells me it can't find it.

when i open a spreadsheet that has smf equations in it..i get the same error message even after changing all the formulate from c:\smf add-in to c:\program files\add-in. However...if I then use the add in manager to relocate to the c:\program files\smf add-in directory, the spreadsheet works... and i save it...however..when I open it again..I still get the same error message and have to redo this process for it to work. It is a pain. I have generally found the newer versions of excel to have lots of problems like this in other areas as well.

Any idea as to what is going on?

thx.
