Thanks for this information. Any chance you might place the workbook on http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF

1) I entered JPM in the yellow box and nothing happened, even after hitting ENTER. How does one make use of this template?

You should copy the formulas you need. This is what I see for the first few lines if I put in JPM:

JPM
<=== Enter Ticker Symbol here

Reported Date
Reported Time
Fiscal Quarter
Reported EPS
Estimated EPS
$ Surprise
% Surprise

10/13/2015
After Close
9/2015
$0.00
$1.40
--
--

7/14/2015
Before Open
6/2015
$1.54
$1.44
$0.10
6.94%

4/14/2015
Before Open
3/2015
$1.45
$1.39
$0.06
4.32%

1/14/2015
Before Open
12/2014
$1.19
$1.30
-$0.11
-8.46%

Those first two reported dates are formulas:

=RCHGetElementNumber(Ticker,1290)
=RCHGetElementNumber(Ticker,1295)

2) Actually, I wish to have commands (akin to RCHGetQuotes) that retrieve the previous and next earnings report date for a number of symbols I have in a worksheet. Does your command set support that?

RCHGetYahooQuotes() is limited to fields offered by Yahoo's CSV file interface. Neither of those fields is available on the Yahoo feed.
