I could see the Open Interest at this OX site, so I was wishing.

Subject: Re: [smf_addin] smfGetOptionQuotes-Example-ITM-OTM-Multiple-Expirations.xls, Open Interest

I think you've got the behaviors reversed. Here's what I get:

| Ticker | Source | b | i |
| MMM 10/30 2015 $140 Call | OX | 15.05 | 33 |
| MMM 10/30 2015 $140 Put | OX | Invalid Put/Call indicator (must be a C): P | Invalid Put/Call indicator (must be a C): P |
| MMM 10/30 2015 $140 Call | OX2 | 15.05 | Unrecognized item ID: I |
| MMM 10/30 2015 $140 Put | OX2 | 0 | Unrecognized item ID: I |

...which is what I would expect. The "OX" data source is for calls only. I could find no URL for getting directly to greeks for the puts on OptionsXPress. The "OX2" data source doesn't have open interest available.

Maybe this is another "Senior Moment".  I am trying to pull Open Interest.  The template will pull Open Interest for Calls by changing Cell D5 to OX.  However, I cannot get Puts Open Interest to work.
I got calls to work by expanding the Array from Column E:Column I to Column E Column J.  I then added "i" to the datacodelist.  Using OX2, the error I get isInvalid Put/Call indicator (must be a C): P
Using OX I get
Unrecognized item Id: I

Any more magic tricks?

I do all the time. There are some templates on the web site. If you need
premium items, you have to create the IE security cookie first, using
either IE or the EXCEL Web Query dialog (preferred; keyboard shortcut
alt+d+d+w).

One difficulty with Morningstar is that they create many of their web pages
dynamically, so the data needs to be extracted from the sourced web pages
they used to dynamically create the displayed web page.

I am looking for historical total return numbers for ETFs and Funds for various lengths of time (YTD, 1 Year, 3 Year, etc.). I can get Yahoo's numbers:

(RCHGetTableCell("http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pm?s=~~~~~+Performance",1,"Year To Date"))

but Morningstar's numbers generate an error message of "#VALUE!",

((RCHGetWebData("http://performance.morningstar.com/funds/etf/total-returns.action?t=~~~~~"),"Trailing Total Returns")

The problem is that the numbers are different. Morningstar appears to agree with MSN. The MSN page for SPY is:

http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/etfdetails/fi-126.1.SPY.ARCX?symbol=SPY&form=PRFISB http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/etfdetails/fi-126.1.SPY.ARCX?symbol=SPY&form=PRFISB

So far I am unable to get the data using the RCHGetWebData for either the Morningstar or MSN pages. I have tried open function displays hoping I could narrow down the exact search if I could get a string returned and find the data in the string. I am using Windows 10. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

I always use the smfPricesByDates() function and use the adjusted
historical quotes on Yahoo to compute my total returns, because I can do it
for any period I choose.

The reason you have an issue with the MorningStar formula is that the web
page you're using is one that is dynamically generated. That is, they get
the data from someplace else and put it on the web page. However, the
add-in extracts data from the original source code of the web page -- so if
the data isn't there, it can't be extracted.

Note that your Yahoo page is performance as of the end of the previous
month. So, as of 9/29/2015.

Here is an example of the static web page MorningStar uses to create the
dynamic web page:

http://performance.morningstar.com/Performance/etf/trailing-total-returns.action?t=SPY

So, for example, the 1-month return:

=RCHGetTableCell("
http://performance.morningstar.com/Performance/etf/trailing-total-returns.action?t=SPY",3,">Total
Return %","(Price)")

I have just downloaded the newest plugin files and just tried to use some ADVfN codes to collect the last 10 years of dividends for a stock. Seems every ADVfn code gives me an error, but Google codes work fine.

Can anyone advise me what is wrong and how to fix it?

Cheers
