I use RCHGetElementNumber(ticker,"13893") to get the next earnings date, but sometime recently it began returning an error. Any ideas?

Thanks for the heads up. Zacks changed all their URLs from "http://" to
"https://, so I had to update all the element definitions for Zacks.

I uploaded the new smf-element-6.txt and smf-element-8.txt element
definition files to the add-in web site:

http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Elements/

Best practice is to exit EXCEL before updating the files.

I was wondering how I could go about getting detailed compensation information pulled into excel. Morningstar has this table for example but there is also detailed summary compensation tables in their definitive proxies. The web page you cited is a dynamic web page generated by MorningStar, so
the data you want is not on that page. However, MorningStar does have the
data on a static web page, from which it builds that web page. So:

To get all the data, array-enter this over a range:

=RCHGetHTMLTable("

To get just the summary data:

To the extent others encounter the Win10 issue I described below with Guru financials update, both with VBA and with smfGetCSVFile function, it appears I found a solution. Please see below:- Be sure to open IE, not the Edge or any other browser on your Win10 machine. IE comes pre-installed with Win10, but does not show up on the app list. You need to type "internet" in Start/Search string and it will pop up
- Open IE Options, select Security tab- Add http://www.gurufocus.com/ to the Trusted Sites list
- Deselect Enable Protected Mode checkbox, hit ok and close the Options Dialog- Close and reopen IE again. Then go to www.gurufocus.com and reenter your premium account credentials. Be sure to save the password
This resolved the issue for me

  I often say it's preferred to log into sites using the EXCEL Web Query Dialog. That's because sometimes the IE object that EXCEL (and the add-in) use may not be the same version of IE that the browser is. I don't know how they get out of sync. It may or may not apply to your situation?

BTW, I now use this to grab the full financials instead of downloading the XLS file:

=smfGetCSVFile("http://www.gurufocus.com/download_financials_in_CSV.php?symbol="&B2)

It has more data and is much faster and cleaner in getting the data. For MMM, that gets me 20 annual periods, 80 quarterly periods, and TTM, as well as some current values of different ratios.
