Hi Randy,
I am using SMFHighBetween("intc",NOW()-360, NOW()) which always returns zero. I am using smfHighBetweeen to get 52 week high and this use to work, now it does not.

Thanks in advance!

That function is not one that is supported. You should use the
smfPricesBetween() function instead.

Also, note that NOW() makes such a function volatile, which means it will
recalculate every time you change anything in your workbook. Too many of
those and you could have a long wait for each change you make.

Hi Randy,

New Highs and New Lows:

Since the change to the Barchart Momentum web-site late last year, I have
been using the definitions in my Excel macro as used in
SMF-Template-Barchart-Market-Momentum.xls
<http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Templates/SMF-Template-Barchart-Market-Momentum.
xls> dated 2016-11-11 to access various NYSE data for the equivalent of
Elements 1147 through to 1154:

For example:

=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfStrExtr(RCHGetWebData(rURL),"NYSE","}"),"""adv
ancingIssues"":""","""")) etc

However, in my Excel macro, the NYSE New High and New Low data seem to pick
up data that is similar to, but not exactly that displayed on the web-site:

https://www.barchart.com/stocks/momentum

=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfStrExtr(RCHGetWebData(rURL),"NYSE","}"),"""new
Highs"":""",""""))

and

=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfStrExtr(RCHGetWebData(rURL),"NYSE","}"),"""new
Lows"":""",""""))

After some experimenting, I have discovered that the data displayed for New
Highs and New Lows seem to be taken from the fields 'high52w' and 'low52w'
rather than from fields 'newHighs' and 'newLows'.

I have no idea whether one lot or the other are more accurate and they are
both quite different from those reported at http://unicorn.us.com/advdec/.

So, I included 'high52w' and 'low52w' into the api in
SMF-Template-Barchart-Market-Momentum.xls
<http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Templates/SMF-Template-Barchart-Market-Momentum.
xls> as follows:

rURL =
https://core-api.barchart.com/v1/momentum/get?fields=exchange,high52w,low52w
,newHighs,newLows,advancingVolume,unchangedVolume,decliningVolume,advancingI
ssues,percentAdvancingIssues,unchangedIssues,percentUnchangedIssues,declinin
gIssues,percentDecliningIssues
<https://core-api.barchart.com/v1/momentum/get?fields=exchange,high52w,low52
w,newHighs,newLows,advancingVolume,unchangedVolume,decliningVolume,advancing
Issues,percentAdvancingIssues,unchangedIssues,percentUnchangedIssues,declini
ngIssues,percentDecliningIssues&exchanges=NASDAQ,NYSE,OTC,AMEX>
&exchanges=NASDAQ,NYSE,OTC,AMEX

Then, I was able to extract the New High and New Low data as displayed in
the Barchart Momentum web-page using:

=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfStrExtr(RCHGetWebData(rURL),"NYSE","}"),"""hig
h52w"":""",""""))

and

=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfStrExtr(RCHGetWebData(rURL),"NYSE","}"),"""low
52w"":""",""""))

smf_elements-9.txt:

Now I have discovered that the definitions had been updated on 20th May
2017:

2017-05-20

RCHGetElementNumber

BarChart Market Momentum -- new elements #1115 thru #1138, reinstated #1146
thru #1178, on smf-elements-9.txt

So, I tried to use them but obtain #VALUE!

For example:

=RCHGetElementNumber("BarchartMM",1153) obtains a result of #VALUE!

So do all the Elements 1115 through 1138 and 1147 through to 1178 obtain a
result of #VALUE!.

(Element 1147 returns the day and date e.g. Sun, Oct 29th, 2017)

What am I doing incorrectly?

SMF Add-in Version:

The Version I use is as follows:

Stock Market Functions add-in, Version 2.1.2017.09.17 (C:\SMF Add-in;
Windows (64-bit) NT :.00; 15.0; ; Local; 64)

My smf_elements-9.txt file is dated 29/08/2017 12:20am 82kb.

MARKET AVERAGE:

Also, I notice that Barchart have added the 5 day moving averages on the
Momentum web-page.

Thus, the elements in smf-elements-9.txt 1195 through to 1214 are shown as
the 20, 50, 100, 150 and 200 Day Averages whereas, they appear to be the 5,
20, 50, 100 and 150 Day Averages and the 200 Day Average is missing.

Thanks

Ian
