Subject: [smf_addin] SCSS DCF Template
User rosendojose posted a very cool template that automates the DCF process
about 6-7 years back. I am wondering if this template has been updated to
reflect current MSN/other websites lately or in the last couple years since
the template no longer works?
if anyone has insight on this or can contact the user directly to make
inquiries, please let me know!

I imported the add-in onto excel and have been practicing but get "undefined" when I use the "RCHgetelementnumber ()" formula for growth rate, yield, etc. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? JP

You probably didn't follow the installation instructions and extract ALL of
the files from the ZIP archive. The "smf-elements-*.txt" files contain the
element definitions and need to be in the same folder as the XLA file.
Otherwise, all elements will be "Undefined".
P.S.: The LINKS area of the group, which contains tips and FAQ, has an
entry that addresses this question.

I have an array-entered formula as follows, =RCHGetYahooQuotes($D21:$D500, "c1p2a2",,,0), which has always worked fine (when Yahoo didn't hang) using the old version of the add-in. With the new add-in just installed, I get the "Sorry, the Yahoo Finance system limits..." error every time. The thing is, I only have 20 tickers in column D, well under the 200 ticker limit. The rest of col D is blank. Any advice? Thanks.

One of the requested changes was to change a blank ticker entry from the
input range to a value of "XXXXXX", so that rows would not be shifted up
relative to the input ticker range. So if you input ticker range is more
than 200 cells, you'll get that error now.
Just change the array to be 200 input ticker symbols and you should be fine.
It could never have gone as far as row 500 anyway, so there would be no
reason to code it that way...

Just wondering: When did the 200 ticker limit start in Yahoo's end? I was def. able to load far more than 200 tickers with a single array formula in the past. It very well may have been over a year ago, though.
