Because I've been unhappy with the last few FILES area updates for Yahoo
groups, I'm trying to decide if I should put a rudimentary replacement on
the Internet.

I'm curious what people see with these:

http://www.ogres-crypt.com/SMF/

http://www.ogres-crypt.com/SMF/_index.html

Are they the same? Can you even access them?

It looks like I could change my hosting plan and get unlimited bandwidth
easily. So it might even be possible to have the element definitions online
for automatic updates. I don't know if that adds more danger or convenience.

Seems like they are the same. I can access the documentation files, and the
template file.

Were the popup boxes useful on the Documentation and Template pages?

No popup boxes. Looks and acts just like accessing it with FTP via a web
browser

Hmmm. The first link gives me the FTP-type folder/file listing, but the
second link gives me web page listing with popup boxes on the Documentation
and Template pages. Below are what the two Documentation pages look like to
me.

The FTP-style listing I see for link
http://www.ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Documentation ...

The web page I see for link
http://www.ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Documentation/_index.html (showing the popup
box when I hovered over that link) ...

Now it is. It wasn't earlier.

They worked the same for me, though the appearance was different. I did not see any pop-up boxes (using Firefox 27.0.1 on Windows 7)

I see the popup boxes (FF 27.0.1 on Win7). But, I don't like them.

They convey key information and I'd prefer to see it on the webpage without needing to hover to see each extra bit. Perhaps a two column table would be better?

I like your goal of providing a better "directory" and "guidebook" though. Yahoo's structure is not the easiest to navigate.

I can access both links and they look the same to me. Pop up windows
appear when I move my cursor over the two documentation sub-folders.
Using Firefox.

I have not been able to access any yahoo groups for some time. (Thanks
Yahoo)
A website would solve the problems for me.

Could you post the works in process folder ?
At least I could get the updated files for now

Hi Randy,

2/23/2014

RCHGetElementNumber() Element Definitions as of 2014-01-30

These RCHGetElementNumbers are returning the same numbers.
14434 S MorningstarAE Annual Estimates - Five-Year Growth Forecast

14452 S MorningstarAE Annual Estimates - Five-Year Growth Forecast (Industry)

This one returns = (#Value!), (N/A).
14453 S MorningstarAO Analyst Opinion -- Five-Year Growth Forecast (Industry)

This one returns nothing but zeros.
14428 S MorningstarAO Analyst Opinion -- Five-Year Growth Forecast (Industry)

2 days ago I installed the new smf files.

I tested it on 5 different stocks and all returned zeros.

Randy, I hope I am not wasting your time, and that this turns out is just an error on my part.

Thanks,

rr76012

I looked at the elements using ticker symbol MMM.

#14434 and #14452 are the same element, just from different MorningStar
pages. My XLS file (from 2014-02-16) doesn't have the source or element
name you list for #14452. Maybe it got corrected already?

I set #14453 to "N/A" because I didn't see M* posting anything. But I have
a placeholder now in case they do.

M* is posting hyphens for #14428 at the moment too, so it comes up as zero.

For the new element definitions, you can see the formula with something
like:

=RCHGetElementNumber("P-URL",14453)
