[ExcelVBA] When Do You Have To Use WorksheetFunction?

 

In a program I wrote last week I used the statement
If(ISNA(D2)...
and it seems to have worked as I expected. Today I tried the statement
If (IsText(...
and I got a compile error. I had to use WorksheetFunction.IsText
So my question is when do I have to use WorksheetFunction and when can I leave it out?
