Glad you resolved your problem.... Just FYI... Any colouring was stripped out in the conversion to text process... Sorry :-(

*I have resolved determining day of week for dates prior to 1900. So
imple, I feel ridiculous. XDATE provides the answer!!! Here it is:
XDATE(1702,6,20,"YYYY-MMM-DD ddd")
Color emphasis my own.)

he "ddd" gives the day of the week for that date!!!!!!!
