does the RCH code 1285 still work? I get N/A for every stock symbol I tried. I've entered

=RCHGetElementNumber(A3,1285)

where A3 contains the stock symbol

in a spreadsheet with other SMF Add-In functions that work.

thanks,
Freddie

Yahoo doesn't show the date on the sourced web page unless earnings are in
the near future. For example:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ae?s=AVA

Because Yahoo is no longer licensed to carry Dow Jones index quotes on
their CSV files.

You could probably use the RCHGetTableCell() function to grab it from other
sources that display the quotes on a web page.

Hello Matthew. After 3 years of manually entering data into Excel 2011 on my desktop Imac, I went out and purchased VMware Fusion from the VMWare website, Windows 7 from the local market, and Excel from the Microsoft website. The smf addin and RCH formulas work perfectly and it cuts my work time for evaluating ~ 100 stocks to done-in-an-hour. Easily worth the expense.

Thankful for Randy's work and documentation,
Clay
