Jose,

Very much appreciated - that solves the final link. Using NYSE:IBM or NASDAQ:III worked. It's odd that some tickers work without it and some don't, but there you go.

Really appreciate your help, thanks!

Randy,

Thanks so much again! Your comments (and Jose's pointer) solved everything. Using NYSE:IBM or NASDAQ:III worked. It's odd that some tickers work without the prefix (MMM MSFT) and some don't, but there you go.

As always, I really appreciate your help and your time, thanks! Is there a tip jar or a favorite charity of yours I could contribute a couple of dollars to?

Thanks for the offer. I ask people to "Pay it Forward" and give the
donation to a worthy charity. Then you get a tax deduction out of it as
well. :)

Hello,

I can't seem to figure out how to retrieve the rate from
this site: http://www.ingdirect.ca/en/save-invest/savingsaccounts/index.html

Investment Savings Account (ISA) 1.35%

I've tried both rchgetwebdata and rchgettablecell.

Thank you.

You can't grab it because it's not on the web page. They appear to be
loading it dynamically from this web page:

http://www.ingdirect.ca/en/datafiles/rates/isacad.html

Try:

=smfConvertData(RCHGetWebData("
http://www.ingdirect.ca/en/datafiles/rates/isacad.html"))

I used this formula in a cell and it pulled in the price but now it does not update it still has prive from 5/10 - Why am I not getting current price? =RCHGetElementNumber(C3,25)

You need to use the smfForceRecalculation macro to update most of the
add-in functions. See the related entries in the LINKS area of the group
for more information.

Also, you should use RCHGetYahooQuotes() to get quotes data. Especially,
since the "Last Price" on MSN has been the previous day's closing price
ever since MSN revamped their stock print page last year.

I couldn't retrieve data from the web page until I logged in to Reuters using the EXCEL Web Query Dialog. Also, you are creating the URL incorrectly. Take a look at what your concatenations are creating.

PS: You need to send add-in questions to the Yahoo group. I have email filters that direct them to a folder. I found this message in my SPAM folder, which means it could easily have deleted without me ever seeing it.

PGAS.JK works here.

Did you try it first BEFORE you logged in? If so, you'll need to run
smfForceRecalculation (see LINKS area of group for more info) to force the
add-in to retrieve the web page again. Otherwise, you're still trying to
extract data from the web page retrieved before you logged in.
