Randy, FYI, I have experienced a similar issue, though it is intermittent.
Although the OP starts his range at A3, mine starts at B4. Even so, I experience the same issue starting at the same row - 44, though not all the time.. As I look at it right now, all of the sheet is fully populated, but other times, not.
Here is my work around:
I have 2 sheets that get data with yahooPortfolioView - The first gets up to row 43 and the second starts with the symbol that would have been at row 44.
A third sheet combines the 2 and is then linked from whatever sheets need to data.
Maybe this helps, or not, but interesting that we both have the issue at row 44. Also that the issue is intermittent.

system starting hanging. It would make it to 22% AND SIT THERE..When I restart it says the addin caused a serious error. do you want to load it.
Happens on both machines. I wasn't sure if it was SMF Addin or something else.
