Hi All,

I was successful in installing the SMF Add-In for MAC 2016 Excel based on these instructions: http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Works-In-Progress/MAC-Instructions.html http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Works-In-Progress/MAC-Instructions.html

The latest version was successfully pulled in but then the worksheet that I worked on would not resolve - the links to the file were still windows path's and not mac. I fixed the link but the errors remained.

I then tried to uninstall the SMF Add-in by deleting the folder in my desktop area on the MAC and re-installed it on my MAC Hard Drive - now Excel will not allow me to do anything with the add-in loaded.

Where can I find the macro for MAC Excel shared in the instructions from Paul Dyson - that might be the problem? Can someone send me the link to that folder as I can not seem to find it on YAHOO, Ogres or anywhere else.

Much apprciated ... I will revert to my Windows 10 machine for now but would love to move all my work to the MAC.

Thanks,

David

Hi Randy,    I have been using =smfGetYahooPortfolioView(A3:A68,"15",,1) to get the last price for a stock.  Column "A" contains the symbol.  I have multiple rows in my spreadsheet that contain the same symbol.  For example cells A4 an A5 both contain "NFLX".  The problem is that the last price for NFLX for cell A4 works fine but the last price for NFLX for cell A5 shows "--".  The pattern appears to be consistent in that the first unique symbol returns a value, but any subsequent rows with the same symbol do not return any values.
I hope this explanation is clear, but let me know if you need any additional information.  Thank you for your time and this fantastic utility.
Tony

If you want the function to return data for the same symbol multiple times,
you need to use a third parameter with a value of "Y".

Usually, "Error" means a basic problem like a web page not existing or
something preventing the add-in from accessing the Internet. Do any other
functions work?

I have tried a couple other functions from the templates and get the same error. I will try a different internet connection later. Thanks.

I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't.

Having trouble. Where can I get your sample spreadsheet to try it out?

There isn't a "sample" spreadsheet. The add-in and a number of templates
are on the website.
